Harvard, world leader in the design, development and manufacture of energy saving lighting solutions, has seen manufacturing processes improve following the implementation of Harvard’s Lean Enterprise Deployment System, or HLEDs.
HLEDs, which was commenced in Q3 2014, has seen Harvard implement a number of different processes, throughout the product life cycle from design and development and pre-production, to the production itself and after-care; as well as developing lean leaders, training and developing team leaders and supervisors in ‘seeing waste’, and developing and creating leader standard work.
Harvard is currently into the first year of its five-year transformational plan where a number of, ‘JDI’ – just do it – Big Impact Kaizen Events were identified. 2015 was established as the introductory year about improving the sustainability of current projects whilst also rolling out the same ethos across other areas of the business, including Quality, Sales and its newest product range, EyeNut.
