Clugston Construction, part of the £160 million privately owned Group, which opened a West Midlands office barely 2 years ago, has seen its local team grow from 2 to 26 full time staff. The quick rise in employee numbers has been to support the increased turnover, which this year will see the Bromsgrove based business reach a regional turnover of £18 million.
The progress has encouraged Clugston to move from a start-up office, to larger premises at Topaz Business Park, enabling it to accommodate further expansion. The location was chosen as a base because it is ideally placed to service the Midlands region and beyond.
Since opening in June 2013 the construction and civil engineering company has gone from strength to strength by delivering a number of projects across the Midlands. These include a new facility for Birmingham Dogs Home in Catherine-de-Barnes, the multi-million pound Gateway Retail Park in Cannock, a high tech office and production facility at Malvern Hills Science Park and infrastructure works in Cirencester.
Danny Dawson, regional business manager at Clugston Construction, said,
“We are really pleased to see our West Midlands office gain momentum in the region and grow. This office fills what we perceive to be somewhat of a gap in the market for our level of business, small enough to be flexible and hands-on, but of a size to be financially stable.”
Mr. Dawson added,
“We are working closely with our colleagues in the sector to develop and facilitate further opportunities and have plans for additional growth, with an aim to create more jobs in the future.”
