A crowdfunding project, called Calderdale Rising, which was launched 3 weeks ago is turning its logo pink for the final few days of its campaign, ending on Friday 12th February.

This campaign was launched by Business for Calderdale to help support a number of the 1,250 businesses across the Calder Valley that were devastated by the 2015 Boxing Day floods. The 103 businesses range from high street shops to professional services and companies in the industrial sector, many of which are still unable to open.

The project has been rotating its rewards every few days, and with Valentine’s approaching, the theme has been changed – on the evening of Monday 8th – to ‘We Love You’. A message of love and thanks will now be sent to all who have supported in the ongoing recovery of these businesses.

The newly added rewards will make perfect Valentine’s gifts and those purchased, will be guaranteed to be despatched on Friday afternoon, for delivery Saturday 13th.

Valentines products available to buy include; a cupcake bouquet from Valentines Café, a Little Book of Love from The Bookcase, a gingerbread man soap from The Yorkshire Soap Company, and a glass heart pendant by Gina B Glass, plus many more pamper gifts, meals and afternoon cream teas.

It is hoped that this initiative will help Calderdale Rising to hit its target of £150,000, to assist the businesses involved in their recovery.
