Drive Medical, one of the fastest growing major suppliers of durable medical equipment in the home healthcare, medical and rehabilitation markets in Europe, is pleased to announce the launch of the innovative ‘PowerPour’ Uccello Kettle into the UK market.
The Uccello Kettle, perfect for the homecare and assisted living market, allows users to safely, steadily and easily pour boiling hot water from a fixed position, minimising the risk of burns and improving lifestyle. With a unique arc of forward motion design, the Uccello Kettle is on a ‘cradle’ and tilts forwards, from a rotating axis, to pour to a constant point of delivery. The kettle also has an ergonomically designed handle and pivot mechanism, allowing those who are less capable of holding and lifting to make beverages with ease.
Invented by Andy De Petra in Australia after he was diagnosed with psoriatic arthritis and realised that everyday tasks, like pouring a kettle, brought frustrating challenges, the Uccello Kettle has already been endorsed by a number of Australian national organisations, including the Assistive Technology Suppliers Association, Commonwealth Department of Veterans Affairs as well as being part of the Cancer Council’s ‘Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea’ Campaign.
Uccello’s launch into the UK through Drive Medical showcases the commitment of both companies to offer the high quality, functional and reputable products to customers, at an excellent value and competitive price.
Jonathon Billington, design director at Uccello, commented,
“We are looking forward to working with Drive Medical and seeing our product have a positive impact in the UK market and like Drive – helping people on the road ahead. We’re truly proud of the impact that Uccello has had in its native Australia and we look forward to also helping make people’s lives easier in the UK too.”
Alan Sullivan, sales and marketing manager at Drive Medical, added,
“The Uccello PowerPour Kettle was launched in Australia in early 2015 and is already enjoying a great level of sales. We are confident that it will prove just as popular in the UK market. Throughout 2015 our Product Management team have been focused on expanding our range of Daily Living Aids and the Uccello Kettle is an excellent new innovative addition that will certainly complement our growing range.”
