Harvard Technology, a pioneer in the design, development and manufacture of smart lighting solutions, will be unveiling the next generation of its market leading CoolLED driver range on stand G36 at LUX Live 2017, at the ExCeL London on November 15-16.
Building on the best-selling CoolLED range, which has achieved 9 million units sold worldwide, the company’s new CoolLED Pro drivers utilise the latest advancements in driver technology to deliver better performance, greater flexibility and improved functionality.
The new programmable LED drivers are initially available in three variants – 15W, 25W and 40W – delivering programmable constant current output, along with DALI dimming to as low as 0.1% of the maximum current. In addition, all the new drivers on this platform support push-dim and corridor function and operate across a wide voltage range 2v-48v.
The new CoolLED Pro range, part of Harvard Technology’s growing programmable driver range, provides complete freedom to control the output power of an LED driver in any configuration, with drive current programming in 1mA step increments and smooth dimming down to 1% as standard, with options down to 0.1% and dim to off.
Brand new to Harvard Technology, the CoolLED Pro drivers can be pre-programmed in the factory or at the customer location via a programming software interface, to meet any current output configuration, offering greater flexibility for customers.
An optimised driver design ensures the best light quality for the most demanding applications. CoolLED Pro drivers have ultra-low flicker performance of less than 1% at 100Hz/120Hz across the entire range, mitigating the risks of invisible random flicker in a multitude of applications including offices, retail stores and professional video production.
Utilising an advanced primary control integrated circuit, and the latest premium specification components, allows the CoolLED Pro drivers to deliver superb performance within an ultra-slim, low profile form factor.
As part of the CoolLED re-launch, Harvard Technology have also refined their service offering for OEMs, offering their most popular dimmable and non-dimmable CoolLED products from an extensive UK stock, which can normally be despatched within 24 hours. The company are also working hard to offer customers, from order placement, their programmable range of drivers picked, programmed, packed and despatched within 72 hours.
Tim McKernan, head Of OEM sales at Harvard Technology said, “We are delighted to have further refined our CoolLED programmable driver range. Our continual drive to produce the most technologically advanced equipment on the market has led us to develop our new CoolLED Pro drivers, which offer feature rich, completely customisable LED drivers at a competitive price point with a quick service turnaround. The new CoolLED Pro range complements our existing 10W-200W driver portfolio, which have become world renowned for their high-performance and unparalleled levels of performance.
“Our ambition to improve our CoolLED range is also reflected in our renewed service offering. We provide our OEM customers with a market leading service that allows them not only to place minimum order quantities of our most popular drivers, but also have them despatched within 24 hours of the order being received, a turnaround time that far exceeds the industry average. As a business, we don’t plan to stop there, as we are working hard to reduce these timescales even further in the near future.”
Further developments are planned in early 2018, as part of the evolution of the CoolLED Pro range, including analogue variants. All Harvard Technology’s LED Solutions are designed, developed, manufactured and stocked in the UK and come with a five-year warranty.
