Clugston Construction, part of the Clugston Group, are delighted to have secured a place on Yorkshire Water’s Minor Civils Framework for 2020-2025. Worth up to £250 million, the scope of work covers the full range of civil engineering requirements across Yorkshire Water’s clean and wastewater assets.
The five year framework – which forms part of Yorkshire Water’s £1 wider billion Civil Engineering Framework – will see Clugston Construction become one of eight civil contract partners able to bid exclusively for all Yorkshire Water minor building and upgrading works to treatment assets.
The AMP7 investment programme contract will begin in April 2020 and will see Clugston Construction collaborating with Yorkshire Water, ensuring all civil engineering works to existing assets on operational treatment and distribution facilities are efficiently delivered over the five year period.
It marks a historic return for the Scunthorpe headquartered business, who last worked as a direct supplier to Yorkshire Water 20 years ago.
Rod Fry, Clugston Construction director, said: “We are delighted to have secured a place on this prestigious framework, and look forward to supporting Yorkshire Water with the organisation’s civil projects for the next five years. It is great to once again work as a direct supplier to Yorkshire Water, renewing a partnership that stretches back over two decades.”
Mark Baker, head of programme delivery at Yorkshire Water, added: “We are excited to see the conclusion of this process and welcome our partners to support our ambitions and challenges into AMP7.
“They will assist in the formation of a truly collaborative, innovative and efficient delivery vehicle to help meet our Enterprise delivery model aspirations. The alignment of our objectives and a Programme First approach is a new direction for Yorkshire Water and we are confident that our partners can support this ambition.”
In total, 18 partners have been appointed on the Framework following an intensive 12-month procurement process.
Clugston Construction recently attended the Yorkshire Water “Welcome Event” for the contract signing as one of the successful contractors for the AMP7 investment programme.
